How to Predict Yahoo Web Search Listings

Once your site has been slurped by Yahoo you usually have to wait 2 to 6 weeks until you see your listing appear in the Yahoo Search Results.

Here is a trick, how you can take a peek at what yahoo will display, long before it is visible in the regular search results:

Go to Yahoo.com and key in your search in the address field.
http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=XXX&vs=YYY

Replace XXX with a term that is found on the page that you want to appear and
replace YYYwith your URL.

Example:
http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=six&vs=jonnygoodboy.com

This querry will search the unpublished yahoo database for the term “six” appearing on all pages from “jonnygoodboy.com".

The results in the VS-Database are visible 1 to 2 days after the yahoo spider (Slurp) indexed your particular page.
